NEW VISA REQUIREMENT FOR DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Jamaicans travelling to the Dominican Republic for strictly tourist purposes will now require a tourist card along with a valid passport to enter the country. However, Jamaican nationals travelling to the Dominican Republic of non-tourist purposes will need to apply for a visa from the Dominican Republic Embassy/Consulate in order to enter the country. A visa is also required for persons travelling with Diplomatic or Official Passports.

Latin American and Caribbean Charity Bazaar

The Latin American and Caribbean Charity Bazaar was held at the Tokyo Prince Hotel on November 2, 2007 under the distinguished patronage of Her Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi.

A donation of US$7,874.74 has been made to the School for Therapy Education and Parenting of Children with Multiples Disabilities (STEP Centre), Kingston from the proceeds of sales at the bazaar.
